N.C. State will see Zellers in its sleep

UNC's Tyler Zeller. Ethan Hyman photo.
N.C. State is 0-2 against the Zeller brothers, and North Carolina senior forward Tyler Zeller was the best player on the court Thursday night in the Tar Heels' 74-55 victory.

Zeller was dominant last night, with 21 points, 17 rebounds, a block and two steals in 27 minutes. He would have had more rebounds if Roy Williams had not been experimenting with freshman Desmond Hubert, who played 13 minutes. Zeller had as many offensive rebounds (six), as N.C. State's entire roster.

Zeller domination was not a new concept to the Wolfpack. Zeller's younger brother, Cody, a freshman at Indiana, had 19 points, seven rebounds, two blocks and a steal in the Hoosiers' 86-75 win in Raleigh on Nov. 30.

The good news for N.C. State, there aren't any other Zeller brothers in college basketball. The bad news, they have to face Tyler, and the Heels, again (Feb. 21 in Raleigh).

Cute article JPG, now with all of the obsession with all things baby blue, how about finding out how that court order to release Butch Davis's 216 cell phone records, since he never bothered to use his University issued phone to insure that NCAA Compliance was not breached?

Who is the cuter of the two Zeller Boys JP? The man love is almost as bad as the Tyler Hansborough lovefest.

IU's Zeller will be a lot better than Tyler has progressed. One can only imagine how good Tyler could have been under some good coaching.

I fear McAdoo is going to continue to develop as he has so far. Roy recruits the talent and it stays flat.

JP,

Has Zeller awakened from any nightmares caused by that seminole beat down?

did you have to hold him until the sun came up?

State fans are pathetic. You put too much time worrying about the UNC and the NCAA. And the Florida State game is the past. Just like all of the good ncstate teams, they're in the past.

hahaha

So you're saying Butch and UNC didn't spend much time worrying about the NCAA??

thanks for stating that. I guess they are now.

State fans are just bad people. Period. If you could just put them all in prison, the world would be a better place.

_In reply to ANON 3:52...Saying Roy doesnt develop talent is an ignorant statement. Just look at the difference in Henson alone, from his freshman year to now. Haters gonna hate........._To "Dean Smith wears diapers"...You are a totally classless individual. I pray that you, or any member of your family, never has to suffer with alzheimers or dementia. There is nothing funny about it!!!

I guess Roy could have learned how to develop talent had he paid attention to Sidnaay L. or Sendek

haha I bet they still see Zellers in their sleep, I mean Tyler Zellers was great that night and he is one of those few special players that can change the orientation of the game to his team's favor
